Rocking to put pets into homes

What is rock 2 adopt?

History

Rock 2 Adopt was founded in 2011 by Peter Jester and Donna Torres. The purpose of the event is to help get pets in homes and to raise money to support their care until they find forever homes. It is held at the Popcorn Park Zoo located at 1 Humane Way in Forked River, NJ. So far we have raised over $40,000 and helped over 70 pets find a home.

This is the 7th Rock 2 Adopt event

About

Even with our help, there are plenty of pets that still need homes. In the mean time, the Popcorn Park Zoo offers a great place for these pets to live and a caring staff but this is no replacement for a loving family.

During Rock 2 Adopt, the adoption costs for a cat will only be $25. Adoption costs for a dog are reduced 25%. All pets come spayed or neutered, shots given age appropriate,  and micro chipped. Anyone who places an application to adopt a pet during the  event will get one free wristband to attend

How to attend

Wristbands to attend Rock 2 Adopt are $20 per adult, children/youth 2-15 are $10, children under 2 are free. A family 4-pack [2 Adults, 2 Children] is $40. Groups of 10 or more please contact me for a group rate. rock2adopt@aol.com A wristband gets you into both days of the event, one admission into the zoo, and a box of popcorn to feed the animals. Also included in the event is: live music over the span of both days and fun family activities in the picnic grove area.   ***We ask that no outside pets attend Rock 2 Adopt due to shelter dogs interacting with people in an attempt to find them forever homes

Contact rock2adopt@aol.com or any band on the band page for wristbands to the event

All money raised benefits the shelter

Whos helping?

The bands that play Rock 2 Adopt not only donate their time but they get sponsors who donate money to the event and sponsors the band to play. Bands also sell wristbands to the event. These generous bands help to raise the money that is donated to the Popcorn Park Zoo on behalf of Rock 2 Adopt. Each band/musician strongly believes that pets belong in loving homes and whole heartedly support pet adoption. Please come out and support as the bands rattle some cages!
